There are people who still believe in working and not "taking" from anybody. And as Jesus said, "the poor you will have with you always". There are people who genuinely need help at times. But not to stay on government assistance (aka-welfare) forever. This is supposed to be used when there is no other place to turn. More Christians (me included) need to step up to the plate and help. What bugs me is trying to sort out who is "legit" nowadays. I will never stop giving as long as I am alive. It is great to be able to help in any way. But I certainly check out situations more now. The government enables the cons and lazy "takers" many times. There is enough money in this country to feed every child who is hungry and cloth them. We point fingers at the low life dictators in other countries who grab and keep everything our foreign aid gives to them, and then we do the same thing. See the millionaires, billionaires in our Congress. You think God will continue to prosper a nation who does that? "NOT" God help us all!! Hugs, Bet Great read Rick!!! I remember.
